RAINBOW CHALLENGE TOUR 2008 Over The Rainbow is holding its first annual Rainbow Challenge Tour on Sunday, September 21st. The event encompasses four bicycle teams, representing our apartments in Chicago, Evanston, Waukegan, and Matteson, completing 25 to 100 miles of the Evanston Bicycle Club’s North Shore Century ride. Riders are engaging sponsors in order to raise money for Over The Rainbow. However, we are not just ‘riding’ in the race. Residents from Hill Arboretum in Evanston and Gustafson Apartments in Waukegan will be hosting BBQs at Hill Arboretum in Evanston and Bowen Park, Waukegan. Proceeds from the BBQ will go towards a resident-selected item for each building (i.e., awning, picnic bench). Residents, families, friends, and the community are invited to join us! So slip into your cycling jersey, straddle your bike and join one of our teams or join us for hot dogs and hamburgers at Hill Arboretum, Evanston, or Bowen Park, Waukegan! In fact, bring along the whole family! Will you sponsor a rider? We hope that you will consider sponsoring our riders and ultimately our cause.
