In Palatine, Illinois, an affiliate has been formed, Accessible Living For All, nfp.
ALFA's mission is "To provide barrier-free housing to facilitate life endeavors of individuals with physical challenges".

The corporation's goals and purpose are:

A. To provide barrier-free housing to individuals with physical disabilities on or near post-secondary educational and/or training facilities.

B. To communicate and market to communities and businesses the importance and value of providing training to individuals seeking independence and employment beyond college.

C. To celebrate and communicate with communities how people with disabilities provide leadership in the use of assistive technology in the areas of employment, education and community living.

D. To work together with local businesses/industry and community resources in developing career paths.

E. To promote assistive technology that would support individuals in their independent living.

F. To advocate for transportation that provides access to the community.

G. To accommodate individuals' personal care needs through partnerships with personal care attendant networks and with those who are enrolled in appropriate healthcare programs.
